Liver Transplantation
This treatment can not be recommended for patients with hepatic
metastases. This aggressive treatment will not cure patients as the
majority will have early recurrence of the tumor. However, liver
transplantation has been shown to be effective treatment in patients
with small hepatocellular cancers and other rare tumors (i.e.,
epitheloid hemangioendothioloma, neuroendocrine carcinoma).
